The first Saturday of every month, we host a volunteer day. Come help us with various tasks around the sanctuary! Tasks may include building structures, painting, fencing, weeding, raking, rock wall repair, etc. Whether you live on the Big Island or are just visiting, we'd love to host you!

Make it a family day! Children welcome, but please note we may not have specific volunteer tasks for children under the age of 8 years old.
Come meet the animals (mini-tour) and then we'll get to work!

Please wear closed-toed shoes and clothes that you don't mind getting dirty, torn, etc. South Point is known for its wind, so we strongly recommend a hat and sunglasses or safety glasses (for the dirt blowing around). Sunscreen is also recommended. If you have work gloves, please bring those as well!

For the September Volunteer Day, we are asking that anyone with a drill please bring it. We will be building shelters for the pigs!
Snacks and drinks provided. If you'd like to bring lunch or additional snacks, please make sure there is no meat in your food out of respect for the animals here. Water jug provided for water refills (please bring your own bottle).
